It seems ever such a long time ago since I began my Calendar of Firsts back in January. But the year has rolled on, and each week I have added my observations about the natural world around me.
This morning I sketched my last entry: Week 52: Hoarfrost on Holly, and a Moorhen.
I have created a flip-through video so you can see all the nature happenings that I have recorded this year, and I do hope that you will consider keeping your own Calendar of Firsts (whether illustrated or not) in 2017
Wishing you a happy and peaceful new year!
I just watched the whole video. Thank you for being such an inspiration. It was so beautiful to savor each week of your year’s firsts. So many “favorites”. May the Lord bless you in the new year!
Thank you for your kind encouragement Wendi.
Wonderful memories! Thank you for sharing. I’m nervously going to begin my own calendar of firsts this coming week. Where can I purchase a book like yours? May your new year be blessed!
Hello Heather!
So sorry I missed this. My book is a soft back Moleskine diary. I purchase mine from Amazon.
Have you begun your Calendar of Firsts yet?
I just sat through your video…oh, so lovely! My thought was, She should publish this! I love it as much as Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady. I have my moleskin planner and my washi tape. I will be getting it ready tonight. There were a few observations I made this week that I jotted down and will try to get them in my first week (like first snow here in TX!)
Bless you for taking the time to share with us!
Golly, thank you so much!
I have just opened a special thread in the FB group, so do be sure to post there 🙂
I am not on FB at present…so tempted! Maybe soon.
