Exploring Nature With Children is a complete, year-long curriculum designed to guide you, step by step, through an entire calendar year of nature study. Completely self-contained, this book has all the information you need to make nature study happen regularly for your family.

Exploring Nature With Children contains:

Exploring Nature With Children is completely self-contained, but includes references to related pages in the Handbook Of Nature Study by Anna Botsford Comstock, should you wish to delve a little deeper.

With books for children of all ages, you will find a comprehensive list of living books related to the week’s nature study theme. Exploring Nature With Children is a self-contained course, so the book list is an extra tool, not a necessity.

  • A poem

Related to the nature theme of the week; a classic piece of poetry that can be used for copywork, dictation, or simply to just read aloud and enjoy.

  • A piece of art

The name and details of a piece of art that relates to the nature theme of the week has been included. This can easily be looked up online, or in art books available from your local library.

  • Extension activities for your child

Here you will find a list of activities, written directly to your child, that will extend their nature study throughout the whole of the week. You will find ideas for crafts, writing, science, maths, and more, with absolutely no busy work.

I am also having an issue, so sending you info directly–though we have 2 bank accounts connected to Paypal so not sure how this will work since normally I select the account to use on the pay page. I don’t think it’s pay pal’s issue, nor is it what pay pal is saying. I think it may be something to do with payhib.com. Hubby is a web dev, I will ask him to take a look and see if he can see anything in the code. Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I’m not using a PC.

      I am terribly sorry that you are having the PayPal issue; it’s a little hit & miss. Most people are fine, but a few are experiencing difficulties. PayPal’s insist that it is an issue with the customer’s address, and thus their bank declines the payment.

      I am terribly sorry that you have not received your download link, the system is automated, so you should have received an email as soon as you checked out. I shall re-set your purchase now, so that another email is sent to you straight away.   4. Hi Lynn, I am in Australia (Tasmania) and I’m wondering if your lovely curriculum would be appropriate for us to use here. Obviously we would have to modify months/seasons to fit the Southern Hemisphere. What about flora or fauna references?

      It’s not so much the flora & fauna, as ENWC is about learning about your own wee corner of the world. It is as you say the seasons being back to front for you! Have you looked at the sample? That shows the themes & a sample week.

  5. I am now 12 attempts and 5 hours into trying to download my purchase. After 3 attempts to get the links to work to purchase it. I am confident that it is neither my new laptop or faulty wifi. I am beyond frustrated. If this issue is not resolved I will be forced to request either a paper copy or a full refund immediately. This has been a very very frustrating process for a very busy work from home homeschool mom.

  6. Hello! I bought this ebook a few years ago and we absolutely loved it, but somewhere along the line I’ve changed phones and realised that I no longer have it on my device… obviously I’m really sad about this as it’s a beautiful resource and I’m regretting not having printed it out at the time- I don’t suppose that you have a record of previous customers do you? I’d rather not have to purchase a second copy-as home educators we have a limited budget for such things!

May I suggest that you contact PayPal directly and ask them to look into this for you? I would be most interested in what they say to you, as I can get no further with them!   7. I have unsuccessfully been attempting to purchase this through PayPal for months always with the same error msg “we can’t process your payment right now so please try again later. We’re Sorry for the inconvenience.” I would like to get this especially before the price goes up. It looks as though lots are having similar issues.
