My Calendar of Firsts for this week:
- Cumulonimbus clouds piling up in blue skies.
- A hungry Great Tit raiding a bush in my garden for tasty caterpillars.
- Full moon 21st ~ A seasonal blue moon; the 3rd of 4 full moons this season.
What is happening in the natural world where you live?
Happy exploring!
Hi Lynn
Beautiful page:-D Just lovely.
Are the great tits nesting in your garden? I missed the blue moon, what a shame 🙁
You will be pleased to hear the new bees have settled in well and are building wax like mad. There is plenty for them to go at round here at the moment. The oil seed rape is still in flower just, plus the horse chestnut, everywhere you look seems to be flowers. It makes me feel very uplifted. The children are busy planning camping trips and are busy making and collecting all sorts of things. My son is trying to grow wild strawberries, he has green ones already. They have both thought of hundreds of ways to use them but I don’t suppose very many will make it to the kitchen 😉
We are gearing up for 30 days wild from the wildlife trusts, are you taking part?
Best wishes
Jenny
Wild strawberries! Yum! Glad to hear the bees are going well.
Not doing the 30 days; don’t want to over-commit myself with MIL being poorly.
