Thank you for such lovely videos – we are entering a new world here! Have never done nature journaling and my question is does one do all the work (drawing, details, painting) while outside? Do a partial sketch and complete at home? Or bring samples and look at bird/tree books at home and recreate? Thanks for your patience!

I don’t think that there is just one way to keep a nature journal; sometimes we work in the field, sometimes we bring home nature treasure to work from, sometimes we work from photographs, or even a field guide.

Thank you so much! We’ve purchased “Exploring Nature with Children,” our notebooks arrive tomorrow. We also purchased a flower press and a traditional stamp (Month/Day/Year) so we’ll date stamp our pages – will look like the traditional library cards :). Have a peaceful week!
