If you are new here, and to Exploring Nature with Children, I’m thrilled that you’re joining us! If you subscribe to the blog posts on the website, You’ll receive the monthly Nature Note, which will give you an overview of the month ahead, and also the weekly Exploring Nature with Children theme posts, which I hope will be helpful to you in your studies.

Thank you for your amazingly inspirational emails! My grandchildren (GC) live abroad and I like to send them things I have made – they seem to love them too. This Spring suggestion today I thought I would embroider something similar ( or not) on to cotton with a stitch ‘guide’ ie can you see a chain stitch? Can you see a fly stitch? To encourage them to look closely at something. I used to be a teacher and old habits … anyway, thank you so much. I was wondering if the little dolls in the spine of the page are stuck or just lay there? It’s charming and Im sure my GC will love it. Marlene

The wee dolls, I just laid them on the book whilst I snapped the photograph; they’re usually hiding out in plant pots and other nooks around our home.
