Last night was hot, humid and heavy. The rain beat down steadily until the early hours.
Out in the woods it is beautiful. Sunshine dappling the damp earth. I can almost hear an audible sigh of relief from the trees for the gift of rain.
We walked for a while through the maze of trees then I set up camp as always with my knitting as the girls played. I am knitting a very simple shawl for Elianna. The yarn is my own handspun from fibre by Freyalyn’s Fibres. The colours play beautifuly & I love how it is knitting up.
As we head home, Rose insists upon a hot bath with hot chocolate to follow. It is her tradition upon which weather sets no boundaries! My funny sweet girl.
