I hope that you’re enjoying the slower paced days of summer, and are looking forward to a new school year (if you have already begun, do leave me a comment and let me now how you’re getting on!)
August is a smashing month for nature study; the Perseids Meteor Shower begins to peak from the 9th onwards, this year the new moon falls on the 1st, so the showers should quite visible, cloud cover allowing. We have harvest in full swing (you might like to add Celebrating the Seasons with Children : : Harvest Festival to your summer plans). Berries and fruits are bursting forth, and if you watch patiently, you may be rewarded by seeing a wee creature foraging for its dinner!
If you’re beginning Exploring Nature With Children for the first time this September, we shall be starting out with Week 1 : : Seed Week on Monday 2nd September.
If you’re over on Instagram, do pop over and say hello! Our community uses the #exploringnaturewithchildren hashtag, if you would like to join in. I love to see your ENWC adventures, so please feel free to tag me, and I may share your photograph on my own Instagram page.
As always, please work the weeks to suit your own circumstances best; these are just my own suggestions!
In other news, the summer sale begins on Saturday 3rd August! There shall be a 20% discount on all the Raising Little Shoots products.
This weeks all about choosing a new place to go for your nature walk; either an entirely new place to you and your child, or somewhere you very rarely visit.
I have added a free download to help you to best plan your 2019 ~ 2020 year with Exploring Nature With Children. It gives you all the dates for the weeks in one place.
Packed with pages to enable you to custom build your own planner for the home school year, and written with the Charlotte Mason inspired home educator in mind, this planner will help you to create your own personal road map for the year, and be faithful in carrying out those plans on a daily basis.
If you follow the Exploring Nature With Children curriculum, the whole year of ENWC is plugged into the calendar for you; no more need to plan out the weeks yourself.
